Have you ever grown any of your Canna from seed rather than bulbs? I was given several variety of seeds but I know nothing about them. Does it take longer to grow from seed?

No i got my first one late last year and it got too cold so it came as a house plant and did well till aprox xmas time then i cut it back and then march i split them put it on a window sill and everytime a new one came up did it a again putting a plastic bag over them to act as propergater.i ended up with about 20 including news which appeared through the summer.
So i don't know about seeds but i would just do the same,put them in a pot and see what happens ,
