Rainiers and Bing Cherries July 09

Rainiers and Bing Cherries July 09 (Prunus avium)

Cherries did well this year. I kept the birds off of them for a change, last year the birds got all of em, so this year the starlings and blackbirds had some added attention. It took them almost two weeks before they realized that they had made my 'endangered species' list. Those that got away may still be going, some of you in Austrailia may have seen some of them by now! It was 100 degree F for a couple weeks in July, but cooled off now and the apples plums, and pears are coming on strong. Any picture with me in it is usually a self portrait, so excuse the quality, I was showing off my cherries, not my dirty work pants!
