Come on, get a grip sanbaz! Rubber glove, pick 'em off, crush 'em. You just wait till you see what your lilies look like when the larvae are on them... once you've seen that, I don't think you'll be so soft hearted;-)

Someone asked a question about Lily beetles a while ago Sandra and I wondered if there was anything organic to treat them with..as Bamboo says its the larvae that do the damage .

There is a product called Provado by Baby bio which also kills vine weevil grubs..as I searched found that a chap has been studying these for 3 years for his PhD - really should get out more - if you cant squish them he recommends dabbing them with white spirit or turps with a small paint brush.Apparently this quickly fatal to them.
