ha ha ha ha ha aha ha ah haaaa! happy caterpillar hunting then Irish, and theyll be so small youll not see em go....
but theyll leave great big holes in everything brassica...lol, watch for them to hatch love it!!!!

lol its ok Amy, the slugs had eaten all my cabbages when they were planted out. the eggs are on the nasturtiums

FREE BUFFET ! eat as much as you can and take away a doggy bag in case youre hungry later, bring your friends!!LOL
You wouldn't think looking out your window in the first couple of months of the year , that there were that many hungry little mouths out there waiting to pounce on and devour almost everything that you plant ,would you?
I've been close to tears over the incredibly swift and complete destruction of our brassicas over the last few years, to actually have eaten 3 of our own this year so far has been such a pleasure!
Insect mesh , its wonderful and is going over the whole garden next year.

At least with no veggies, I can let the butterflies do whatever they like - until the caterpillars start on a precious plant, that is! lol.
