Bird nest in the croton!

Yes, our neighborhood Finches have been adding to the nest in my potted Croton Petra. In the mornings, I often see either the male or the female fly onto the patio where the plant is located with something in their mouths to add to the nest. Although the nest is not really "defined" yet, Our two little "cheepers" are still constructing their haven for the fall brood. Last year, they built a great nest in my Ivy hanging basket, but this nest looks a little different in its' construction. It is lacking that "circling structure" that most nests have. This will be interesting to watch!
