POND LIFE - any idea?

After putting in the plants I received for the pond today, I noticed these little critters all over the water.....any ideas what they are?

Exactly!! Hope it's harmless as it came out of all the starter kit....in the water/plants that arrived today so guess it must have been with them the other end?
