Verbascum update

My Verbascum has now reached a height of 6' 10" with it's satellite stems reaching about 3'. I think that it is about ready for the chop at last. Note the clear glass bottle on the ground. It is a tip from Australia and said to keep the cats from doing their business there. It seems to work. Perhaps Bernieh knows something about that ?

Yes I have heard of the glass bottle solution for cats in the garden - apparently they don't like the look of their own reflection and they will run away from it! I've never tried it, as I've never had problems with cats in my various gardens - a dog has worked very well for me so far. Now of course, I don't have a dog any more and my problem is wallabies eating my plants - haven't found a solution for that one yet.
