Trail and Poplar

Trail and Poplar

I loved the poplar along this part of the trail. It rained softly the whole time, everything was so fresh and deep in color.

This walk is really wonderful. The full way is about 5 miles across a railroad bridge past all three lakes. I just walked this end. It has been greatly improved since I lived there, wasn't even boggy. This is a preserve so existing trails are improved but new trails are prohibited. Even on this rainy day it was a pleasure. I didn't see any wild things, though I got frightened in a few still lonely feeling places. I whistled alot, nothing is more dangerous than once surprized, whistling helps things know I was coming. Probably why I didn't see anything. All the berries I have shown were on this trail, so snacked all along the way. :-)

Thanks Deida. And I will. No reason to spring up on something wild. :-)
