hi morgana i may take you up on that, can they be taken up without harm?.im sure it would look lovely with more flowers,
yes i got it this year TOG and it grew very tall but straggly so i cut it back quite hard after first flowers, so maybe it will get better

Yes you can take them up with out harm best time is very earlyspring time or late winter when dormant, providing the ground is not icey, make sure you don't disturb the root and try and take earth around it with it also cut down before lifting, then you ll be fine. I have moved home around 30 times and always moved my plants with me and its been all different time of year when I have moved. I just make sure I cut back and take the earth around my plants not so as to disturb the roots. If its young to start with it won't produce many flowers.

That's good I didn't know you could get clematis with bell shaped flowers Sandra , the only ones I've grown before, and seen around have been the flat flowered type.
