Thanks for the compliments - I want to try other varieties next year, but I think I'm going to have to invest in small greenhouse!! Mrs. James will be happy - MUCH!

Sorry about your chillie plants, but I've been told that some are hardier than others and less prone to slugs and evil things like that. But I'm still learning, so I don't know all the varieties yet. I need someone out there who's a chillie expert!

My chillies have been slug-free luckily. I suppose its a bit of a struggle for the beasties to climb up the side of the containers!

A little birdy told me that tree frogs (who eat caterpillars and slugs) can climb cabbage stalks....I wonder???!!!
