They are an annual called Scarlet Pimpernel from Carters Seeds at 80p a packet! You can find them in places like Poundstretcher.

Yes thanks - I know. I did sew them like I do every year but they didn't grow. I always called them Flax

That's annoying when you are usually succesful - almost as annoying as when you buy them from a garden centre that describes them as hardy perrenials at £4.99!!!!

Well they shouldn't say that about them. It isn't true and it's misleading.

According to my 'bible' (the New Flower Expert) some are. Also says that the perennials are blue or yellow, but we still feel cheated!!
Not too dear if it was what it said it was, but it wasn't!!
