This lovely dark red Sunflower was one that I grew for the Gardeners' World Trail back in 2004. My hand is in the photo because I had to turn the flower head around because it was facing out onto the street.

I was quite happy with the results of the Sunflowers on my balcony. I wasn't sure how they would do. I had never grown anything other than the very tall singles before & never on my balcony.
