For those of you who've been bragging about the size of your sunflowers...just take a butchers at this baby...my only sunflower this year & it's a monster!!...About 2 inches across!

It's a bit pot luck with me Mad...sometimes they come out brill...others are a bit fuzzy! Operator error my hubby says...he might be right!!

Wow, how small! some friens of ours had neighbours that grew them as big as dinner plates. No kidding - we saw them all the time and always hung out of the car for a look at the amazing sunflowers whenever we went to our friends' place!

"Small is Beautiful" we learned, with regard to sunflowers, as the dwarf varieties are often multi-headed, and easier to behold!! ;-))

Too right Di...& you're right David...the dwarf ones are much easier to look at & often several heads on one plant if I'm not mistaken!
