Rove Beetle (Platydracus stercorarius)

Can anybody identify this little creature?

Reminds me of a ladybird larvae but I don't know if the size is wrong!

definitely not a Ladybird Larvae .......this is some kind of a beetle..look at the antenna

Can you give any clues as to where he might have been heading ie food source or shelter ? Was this taken in your garden ?
Have you seen him since or more than one at a time ?

Sat on the patio watching this little creature running over the flags straight into the lawn...lost him..

Think this may be a type of Rove beetle Deida ..able to fly wings housed in the coloured casing on its back. Several varieties so as to exact type cant be sure ..
