The lovely brown shades of Physocarpus "Diabolo" and Cordyline "Red Star" add some nice "chocolate" tints in the garden.

Did you read what A. Titchmarsh said about 'Diablo', which I have as well? He said he couldn't understand anyone growing a brown leaved shrub...or something similar! I went off him...a bit...LOL.
