sorry Louise , you lost me there, the plant was bought in the spring, was in a basket above the tub, it died, so i guess it was just an annual, then all these babies started to appear, ive taken out loads and placed around the garden, not sure if they will with stand the winter but im not sure what else to do with them , bit worried there taking all the good stuff from my lillies

Ah, probably an annual and not perennial then.
Have you been feeding the Lillies through the summer, i'd think they're getting enough nutrient anyway.

I didnt feed the lillies much, just a bit of liquid mix with water now and again
