Awesome shot Lily!
I spent a few hours in the garden on Sunday and Ali was crying laughing because when I'm pottering out there, i always carry my camera for the photo opportunities that may arise. I pottered and snapped for several hours but during this time, there was, what I believed to be, a Painted Lady Butterfly that kept fluttering around me, teasing me, occasionally landing on a flower or door and every time I got my camera set...........off she fluttered. This happened at least 8-9 times and was not funny in the end as I soooooo wanted the elusive pic.
It's my belief that she knew what she was doing and like most women, was 'playing me up'!!
LOL!

Yes PG, again, like most women!! lol!
Oh yes San!
Ali was literally peeing herself laughing as it just kept appearing every time I put my camera away and when I left it out, it would just settle enough for me to set the camera and....bam, it was gone again!! little tyke!

hahahha, i leave my camera on if something, a bird or butterfly is close, then its ready to click, i dont have the power saver on timer because that annoys me when it shuts down while waiting lol

Oooh, that might be why mine shuts down so quickly. I'll check it now.
Ah, it was the Auto LCD that closes monitor after 15 secs so just changed it too 30!!

I did have to chase this butterfly round the garden a few times before it settled and fully opened it's wings but I was glad it chose such a nice background . It's that time delay on the shutter that gets me, by the time of the second click, the insect has flown off, the animal has moved from it's cute pose or the child is now grizzling! lol :o((
