Rubus spectabilis 'Olympic Double'

I first saw this in a Yellow Book garden near Basingstoke where it flowered in May. For me, it starts in April. Upright bramble to six feet with slightly prickly stems. It suckers a bit on my clay; on lighter soils it might become a menace.
