They are grapes for wine making but I cant remember what they are, quite sour. The vine is an outdoors variety but in my greenhouse. I took some cuttings last year and they are now potted up and against the pergola. They should look nice :-)

Lucky you I ended up having to get mine dug mine up, as I was told you have to keep them pruned less they will taste sour, so as I cannot do this, my grandson dug it out for me.

Thats a shame Morgana. This vine is only about 3 years old and it does get pruned, I think the grapes are sour as they are not really eating grapes, if you know what I mean.

You'd be welcome too Bob, and everyone else.
I should make some wine with them - I'll have to give it a try :-)
I also have a green grape vine too which runs parallel. They are sweet, yum.

Wow all those grapes and your not making wine......Wonder if they would be ok to make grape jelly with/ I suppose if you heated them and added a bit of sugar they they could also make a lovely grape crumble.....

Wooo Milky, you sound like Fanny Craddock, ha ha with all those recipe suggestions.
Have you ever made wine Maureen? I'm more interested in drinking them than eating them!

hello Arlene, funnily enough, my dad set his vine like your dad's. I also have a green grape vine in the greenhouse, on the other side and they are sweeter. Apparenty, the vines like to feed on something dead, yuk - well that's what my dad told me - bit like blood, fish and bone I suppose.
