Fantastic. I can now hold my head high as the Queen of Gardens has a Clematis that I also have.

i have a similar one that might be lady bird johnson and it is in flower now too. lovely shape and colour.

Seaburn, i've just looked that one of yours up and they ARE very similar aren't they ? :)
I hadn't heard of it before.
Does the flower open back as wide as P. of Wales as it ages ?

Louise is much better placed to know - I've only got one flower, and seen hers. I think my baby one I got as a freeby is Ladybird Johnson - but it's not doing very well, sadly. :-(
