What a cute fat spider!

Her abdomen is the size of a quarter....she's a biggie! So far as I've been able to find...she is an Araneus...exact type of Aranaeus...don't know yet! When I first saw it I thought it was a mushroom caught in a web!! LOL.

She looks like every joint is made for squeezing her prey

hahah ....she is an olympic class spider for sure! beauty is not a word I'd use for this one, Sue! lol....had to take pictures,...for proof! Hmm.... not sure what her prey would be, Milky....or how she would kill it! I think I have a pic of the male of her species...with much smaller abdomen and a delicate looking cross like markings....

Wow..., fantastic, clear close-up Lori. I believe I could actually count the hairs on her legs, bless her heart......lol. Some days during the Wintertime my legs probably look just like hers....sshhh, that'll be our little secret...lol

Thanks Lindak.... it's so cold now that I'm sure all that is left of this beauty is her egg casing... (on a different tack...how's Peter these days? Clover's curly fur has come in...he's jet black, soft as silk and a sweet little character.)
