I'd like to grow some different ones next year Gee...& get my act together to plant them a bit earlier...they love full sun & I'm lucky that we're getting that in September!
Thanks Suey/Amy/Morgana...the fence needed cheering up!
Sue ...they are vines & they can reseed themselves if you leave them where they are after finishing flowering...I've just looked them up! :o)

That hedge you can see belongs to the folk next door...they like their privacy & have let it all grow up until it cuts out the sun & light from our garden. I know there are laws against this but we get on well with them & it is part of a little copse we call 'no-man's land' where our cats play, sleep & hunt (well not in Phoebe's case...she can only catch moths!) so we tend to just cut back the worst of the brambles etc. It keeps them off the road so it's a compromise really.
