Blue Sky over Rochester Castle

Blue Sky over Rochester Castle

Juie and I took a ride across the bridge (over the Medway) to Rochester while Graeme was doing a childrens party in Strood. He's still not driving so I'm running him to his comedy gigs and children's parties!

Interesting Paul is this a ruin ?

Yes, it is. Although there appeared to be quite large sections still intact. We didn't spend much time in Rochester so spent most of it wal;king along the main shopping road which was lovely(although shops were mostly closed) Lots of old book/antique/curio shops!

Looks like you and Julie enjoyed your selves, you both deserve it I wonder if thats where he got the story old curiosity shop from too.

Great pic Paul, that blue sky is such a perfect backdrop to the castle. Sorry to hear you're still being a chauffeur to Graeme. If it goes on much longer you'll have been just about everywhere!

I reckon that s what he want s really Lily, to travel the uk and see what he missed when young, which is a good thing travel broadens the mind, better than staying home and cleaning or doing diy.

Don't laugh, Lily I've got to take him to Bournemouth this Friday(nothing unusual there you say) but instead of holiday camps or working men's clubs as usual, he's doing a gig at a Gay Nightclub!

Anything's better than staying home and doing DIY Morgana. Mind you, I'm good at DIY. When Julie says she wants a new shelf or some decorating done, that's what I say 'DIY-- do it yourself' !!!!!!
I think my mind will be broadened this Friday!!!!

I think this picture makes it look grander than it is Healerwitch. To be fair , we have castles a lot more impressive than this one in other parts of the uk.
You'll have to make a point of coming over one day. History and historic places is one thing we do have here in abundance!(I suppose that's 2 things really but you know what I mean!)

Paul...it is a dream of mine to spend a summer in each of England, Scotland and Ireland....add Wales for me hubby and we have covered much of the ancestory for both of us! :)
(Much of the rest of the ancestory is from this continent!)

Well, I hope you make it soon Healerwitch. I must say , that I'm not much of a traveller and have no real desire to tyravel the world(I don't know why, we're all different I suppose) but there certainly is plenty to see on this tiny island of ours. I've never even visited Wales yet but intend to soon. Now our kids are grown up, we get about a bit more!

Paul our only issue (as is everyone elses these days) are the means by which to do it...My hubby and I both love traveling, in fact I think we are addicted....just watch the blogs and pics coming soon to see Alabama, Georgia, Colorado......and a couple of other places here in the US....naturally I take pics of plants everywhere I go (another addiction! LOL)

Will look forward to them
Me too... I take pics of plants and gardens... I've got thousands of them!
