Photo taken in one part of the Roma Street Parklands - the Spectacle Garden - at the end of our first month of spring ... September.

This is the pond area and the Louisiana irises were in full bloom. There's also lots of water lilies on the top of the pond but it's hard to see them - this whole area looked far more stunning than the photo can portray!

I was walking with my hubbie through the parkland this trip and he's not very keen on looking at gardens ... so I didn't have time to take a whole lot of photos unfortunately! Certainly didn't get time to take closer shots of things like the water lilies.
