It looks like clematis Miss bateman? Lovely and fragrant if it is?

Ooooh I'll go and smell it tomorrow and let you know. I didn't know any clematis had a perfume:-)

Yes Bornagain its violet scented from spring to autumn and it usually flowers in spring then again later. 2 others that smell are Clematis Fragrant Oberon and Clematis Jan fopma which smells of chocolate

Nope, no perfume just that nice fresh flower smell, but, getting down to smell it I've just noticed that the flowers of potentilla 'Kingdom Ward' smell of almond and I never knew he had a 'perfume'. Perhaps I should go round the garden doing a smell survey ;-))

Wish I could find something like that in my garden- must look harder!! Really Lovely.
