Thanks GoY's, She's tucked up in bed at the minute but I'll show her in the morning. She enjoys reading GoY as much as I do and thinks it's great when you mention her name. :~))
3 Oct, 2009
Oh bless her......How lovely she is so interested oin growing too. Well done Holly, your little friends are going to love these.........
3 Oct, 2009
Thanks Milky, I can't turn the pc on before she's trying to get up on my knee. She knows exactly how to get GoY on and how to go to 'her' photo's to see if anyone has commented. Lol ;~))

Well done Holly:o))

Oh great to see a child interested in gardening, well done Holly!!! I have a Fuschia called Hollys beauty.....just like its namesake!!! :)
4 Oct, 2009
Thanks Carol, :~))
SK, she is now going mad for me to buy her one. (from Ebay !) :~))
4 Oct, 2009
I agree with her, Ian! She should have a plant or two to look after!
4 Oct, 2009
Oh she will have, she has already asked me for another bed for next year (the giant Hebe went in her veggie bed) She pointed out a piece, continuing on from the 'path' border for about thirty feet! ! !
4 Oct, 2009
LOL.....She'll be taking over all your space before you know it Ian. You might as well give up now.....no more garden for you.
Holly, you have done really well with your apple trees. I hope that one day you will have lots of lovely apples to eat from your tree.
5 Oct, 2009
Hi Gilli, She did it all by herself, even down to eating the apples ! ! !
5 Oct, 2009
Sorry Ian....shouldn't have mentioned it LOL
5 Oct, 2009
Not to worry we're always on the lookout for new plants and they may as well have her name on. :~))
6 Oct, 2009
Well Done Holly! These look fab - what an expert!
8 Oct, 2009
The news is that her head master at school will take some of them for the older ! ! ! kids can learn something about growing. He is a very keen gardener himself and is really keen to have the blossom and the possibility of fruit in the future. So result for Holly ! ;~))

FANTASTIC WORK, HOLLY!!
You're going to be a top gardener!! Well, you already are!
Well done, sweetie!
Teaching the older kids? Brilliant!
8 Oct, 2009
She said something tonight that has made my day!
"Daddy"
"yes sweety"
"When I grow up can I dig the garden?"
8 Oct, 2009
And its guaranteed you said yes!! :~)))
8 Oct, 2009
Well I was looking at it more like she wanted to follow in my footsteps and have a nice productive garden of her own! ! ! :~))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
8 Oct, 2009
Of course you were! Good for her! I hope she still feels like that later! I stopped after I spent 2 years uilding a GREAT veggie patch & my dad moved us AGAIN!!

Great news that Holly is getting interested in gardening - it's so good for the soul I think. Plus, it's good for keep-fit, learning about where food comes from and learning about nature and the environment and our place in the world. I started gardening when I was about 12 - started with pot plants indoors....think my parents started getting worried when my bedroom started to resemble the glasshouse at Kew Gardens and encouraged me to take things outdoors. When I was 16 I dug from scratch my first flower bed and sowed it with annuals - it looked so beautiful!! Never looked back ;-)

Oh dear Hatter, did you get moved around much as a child as well?
I always said my mum had gypsy blood in her, Lol. She couldn't stay still for more than a few years. The longest we stayed in one house before I left home (aged 17) was seven years. We always stayed in the same village though?
9 Oct, 2009
Hi Sid, I hope Holly does this to, Mind you I have already given her a 'plot' of her own!
9 Oct, 2009
Hmmmm.....I'm sure I left a comment yesterday...wonder where it went to?
I've got you beat Ian....longest I've ever lived in one house is 6 years. All in different towns/cities/countries too. :o(
We've been in this house now for 4 years......Do I feel a flit coming on???
10 Oct, 2009
I think it gets ingrained in your system Gilli, We've been here about the same time and I'm looking for another place! ! !
10 Oct, 2009
The longest we lasted was 5 years & that was before my mum died. After that it was every 2 years maybe? I moved even more, cos I kept leaving home! I've been in this house 2 years & am now contemplating a move to Dundee, these long bus trips are a pain!
10 Oct, 2009
I can see your point there Hatter, It would be a lot easier to get to oonie if you were on the doorstep so to speak, but what about the free wifi on the bus? ? ?
10 Oct, 2009
Hmmmm! But is it worth the travel time?? I'm kna......... very tired, & 4 years of it to go!!
10 Oct, 2009
I wouldn't have thought so, unless you intend to go round and round on it all night just to get free access to GoY?
10 Oct, 2009
LMAO!!! As if! I get travel sick on buses!
10 Oct, 2009
Well there's only one thing for it then, MOVE. Lol
10 Oct, 2009
I wish I could afford to! But I'm NOT moving if I cant have a garden!
10 Oct, 2009
Absolutely, can't you do a swap?
10 Oct, 2009
I'll look into it! Early days yet! Mind you, I wouldnt need to crash at my friend's house when we go out after uni (a teething baby & a hangover dont mix well!) or miss nights out when I cant stay there! :-}
10 Oct, 2009
Living the high life then?
10 Oct, 2009
Not really, I have to get the 10 o'clock bus home! :~((
So not much point when the rest of the class are meeting at 8.30! And killing 4+ hours in Dundee isnt fun when you're skint!
10 Oct, 2009
No not really :~((
10 Oct, 2009
It's lovely that they want me to go out with them, I feel positively Jurassic beside them, but I also feel crap when I DONT go! I dont want them to think I'm standoffish, thats just not me!!
10 Oct, 2009
It's a toughie. :~((
10 Oct, 2009
I think they're starting to realise that I'm not as 'grown-up' as they expected!
10 Oct, 2009
I think (therefor I am) that you will never grow up, as long as you get your daily dose of GoY. :~))
10 Oct, 2009
I'll never grow up anyway! Just call me Petra Pan!!
10 Oct, 2009
Lol :~))
10 Oct, 2009
;~)D
10 Oct, 2009
It does get ingrained in your system Ian....But, I'm sick of it....I said to Murray that I'll move one more time and that's it!! When we retire we can move further out into the country and that is where I'll live until I die. ;-O
11 Oct, 2009
My mum said that ........... Four houses ago! ! !
11 Oct, 2009
My dad too! :~}
11 Oct, 2009
Good on Holly withthe apple trees Digs. She obviously gets great inspiration from Dad....or is it the other way round/ :0)
Hope they grow well with good crops...
14 Oct, 2009

14 Oct, 2009
No thanks neccessary!
14 Oct, 2009
Well you got them anyway. ;~)))
14 Oct, 2009
:~))))
I'm quite pleased with how well its grown so far, but its still tiny, & can grow up with her!
14 Oct, 2009
I'm sure she will be over the moon and, hopefully, I can take some photo's of her opening it and then planting it! :~))
14 Oct, 2009
I've tried to pack it so she doesnt jag herself opening it! Your stuff's in the parcel too, so be sure she knows that!
14 Oct, 2009
OK thanks Hatter, :~)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
