When the berries first appear in Autumn they are scarlet, Mike, but any remaining at this time of year fade to a peachy-orange shade, then fall to the ground.

This is another plant that used to be plagued by some kind of larva...sawfly probably...used to have to squish and rinse.
Great plant...love its shiny green leaves, prostrate habit and red berries... one of the first shrubs I ever bought.

Another free gift from the birds, Lori. I transplanted 2 at the base of the side wall of the kids' playhouse, and they just went upwards and fanned out all by themselves.
