This is a cycad Mushy. It's sometimes called the Gum Palm but it's not a palm either.

I forgot to add...the cycads seem very upright because they just got many fronds cut off...you can see them along side the plants.

Thanks! I sure they're beautiful! The old specimens are the most impressive. Dioon species are the most commonly grown cycads here in California besides Cycas species.

Mine is in too much shade..tossed out only two fronds this year. Nice blue-green color.
