Hibiscus

The hibiscus has had a long history of use in Africa and neighboring tropical countries. Its fragrant flowers have been used in sachets and perfumes. They are considered aphrodesiac, demulcent, emmenagogue, emollient, and refrigerant.
The flowers and young leaves are edible. The flowers can be used to produce a dye for coloring food.
The Hibiscus is used as an offering to Goddess Kali and Lord Ganesh in Hindu worship

i have brought my new one in 4 the winter its in a pot and im going to plant it out in the spring..... i have others that are hardy...........

Valerie...I have never had any luck bringing them in for the winter....my cats like to eat them! so I have stopped purchasing them for now! But I do so love them, and the hummingbirds go nuts for them too!

CG...this is Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, as to specific variety I do not have that anymore...sorry! =^..^=
