Oh, beautiful.

They're one of my favourite plants - I have one of these myself.

Sam's Club sells caladiums here and you can get a big bag of them at a reasonable price. I usually buy 3 or 4 bags because they don't live the winter and I usually don't save them because caladiums don't keep very well over the winter. I usually get mush the next spring, so I just buy more instead of storing them.

I bought exactly this one than. And they never sprouted, they have to have nights above 70F and I just don't get that. I'm getting a warming blanket to start them next year, and then potting in a tulip pot so they have space and I can bring them in like a house plant all winter with the colocasia. These are so lovely.

I bet they would sprout if you put them in a covered bread pan, no dirt, on top of the refrigerator for two or three weeks. They take forever to come up even in good weather. You could try it with one and see.

Try one with nothing on it and the other with a moist towel and see what happens. My problem is I buy them and they are usually sprouting on me before I plant them because I don't plant them for some time. I put them in my basement in the Sam's Box they come in and by the time it is warm enough to plant, they have the sprouts already. They come in wood shavings.

Oh, I'll have to try that. Sprouting without planting. Probably works great. Thank you for the advice. I was so sad I didn''t get to see them this year.
