I was reading up on these and I saw where they are sometimes referred to as false african violets.

They are Gesneriads...a huge family which includes saintpaulia, gloxinia, achimenes, Episcia, and these lovely guys. Someone has been combining dna .... INCREDIBLE. Just gorgeous.
