Hummingbird Moth on Purple Butterfly Bush

They are often mistaken for hummingbirds, which is why their common name is hummingbird moth. It is a clear winged sphinx moth. I see a few each year. They aren't plentiful. They also fly around the flowers in a hummingbird like manner.

Oh...yes Dcottage....this one is stripey similar to a bee hummingbird moth...great pic!
