Castlemilk Moorit ram

This rare breed graze the steep slopes of Arundel keep. so if you want your grass short, especially if it slopes; here is the answer. These sheep are from Dunfriesshire. The moorit refers to the colour of the fleece. Considered to be reddish tinge, It does not need to be sheared, as it sheds its wool. Less than 1000 of this breed on the planet

This is Arundel Castle Stripes. The rest of my photos of a recent visit are in my latest blog. I could't put many into the photos as they were mostly more than 3MB. It certainly is a marvellous place to visit. Lots of steep steps and dark twisty spiral staircases. Wonderful views from the top of the keep.

Good photo and interesting facts about these animals. Thanks.
There are ways of reducing the size of photos to smaller than 3 MB.
Sounds like you took some more lovely pics. :o)

I did Terratoonie, especially of the Collector Earle's garden opened last year by HRH. On my old camera there is an instant on screen trim device that would probably cut down MB. On this camera, which is minute in size, but 12.2 mega pics, the more detail ,it seems more MB used or something......... Now ,after returning to the camera I have resized some pictures and they come out less MB than before and below 3. Phew I think I'll have to go and have a lie down

Hi Dorjac..
I've heard back from Peter...
He says everyone seems to have different ways on their computer for making photos smaller, so not easy to give general advice.
However, he also explains that some time in the not too distant future he hopes to increase the maximum 3 MB size to a higher number, so maybe then we on GoY can enjoy more of your garden pics.... I hope this helps. :o)

It should be OK ,as I have now found that trimming on camera IS more complicated than before, but reduces the MB quite a lot without making the picture much worse. It sort of chops it round the edges, and you can centralise some subjects as well, so I think I will manage. Thank you and Peter for your help. At least it made me really find out how it worked.

Glad to know you've found a way to make the pictures smaller.
I crop mine once they are actually on computer, as I find that way I can see better what I'm doing ! :o)
