A Welcome Face

A Welcome Face (Brassavola nodosa (Lady Of The Night))

I was moving plants on the catwalk, and yet again, it bloomed under my nose! I didn;t even know it was coming. (A sign I'm a little overwhelmed by houseplants for now) :-)

Thanks Holly. This one always surprizes me. I was looking at it last week thinking, this is not going to bloom anytime soon. I should give it more attention. :-)

Lovely orchid GT, what's it called?

Brassavola nodosa. I just discovered the name, I just had the tag, B. nodosa. It is so reliable! Always catches me off guard without any extra care. I just discovered they must dry out to complete each pseudobulbs growth and flower. Night fragrance. Its wonderful.

I just linked it and I'm the first here, I'll have to link more.

What's this about linking it?

Top left, above the Members who liked this, the What else section. Adding the botanical name, it links to all other pics, questions and info in GOY about the same plant and the same genus. Adding to my garden will create a link to my garden section too. I'll do that too and link all my photos of this orchid to my garden so all the links get connected. We have an amazing resource to plant info here that we are boulding. I love it!

Thank you Doon. I wish I could take more credit for it. It seems to go one without me sometimes. :-) One of the few that prefers a dry spell to mature the pseudobulbs before a flower. But thank you, I'll take the credit. :-)
