Yes, the seeds grow pretty large...they resemble a
large acorn.

Jeeze!!!! My sago is teeny-tiny, and it's great to see the sago this big. Just massive!! It must be really old, more than 100 years perhaps?

No, this sago palm is probably around 30 years old.
This one is probably around 70 years old, though.

Thanks for the links!
Sago is a very slow glowing thing. Hope I can live long enough to see my baby sago get that big!

Yes, sago palm can be slow growing. It only puts out 2 or 3 flushes of new growth a year...very rarely it'll put out 4.

I do have 5 sago palm in my front yard for 11 yrs already, but I have never (know they have seeds) see them got any seed like the seed on this one before, I wonder why? Maybe is because my sago palm aren't female?
Since I first bought them they kind of small, but they are doing very well & fast grower, they grew so big & having a lot of babies that I can even believe my eye.

Yes, you have to have male and female plant to get seed production. I know there's a lot of very large sago palms in San Jose. If you go through some of the older neighborhoods like Willow Glen, Cambrian Park and downtown San Jose you'll see many.

You can actually go on internet and research male and female sago palms. You'll see the difference in the cones.
