Ruffled Fan Palm is one of the world's most ornamental
and beautiful palms. It's a very tropical palm from New
Herbrides in the South Pacific. These palm trees are
growing happily at The Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens
on O' ahu, Hawaii. Photo taken August 9, 2009.

Very striking. I have never seen this type of palm before, thank you.

Thanks!
This is a tropical rainforest understory palm...it needs semi-shade to shade all year...and of course, warm weather also.

I have 2 planted a few months in a very shady area , already they have doubled in height .
Delonix I forgot to answer your question on how old my Adenium obesum is . It was half the size of the one in the photo. when I got it not quite a year ago. I am amazed at the speed it has grown.

Sounds great! Unfortunately, Licuala grandis does not do well here...it's too dry....however, Licuala spinosa, ramsayi, peltata, and elegans do very well here in shade with lots of water. I have L. ransayi and L. peltata var. 'sumawongii'.
Adenium obesum is typically slow...the variety you have
must be a faster growing. I know in the last few year I have
seen some really interesting varieties -- with flower shades in purple, darker reds and pinks.
