Autumn colours in The Whaddons 2009-10-27 006

This one is standing on the top corner of the street where I used to live for 7 years after moving here from London in 1966. This tree has very lovely fiery red foliage & is all the more spectacular for standing on a corner on its own making its foliage even more showy!

I think I may have just caught that tree just in time as today we have had some very strong winds accompanied by some sharp, heavy showers. Many of the leaves will no doubt have been torn off.
