A close up of my papaya's flowers and fruits. It's finally
producing a lot more flowers and fruits...generally it would
have much larger fruit by now. Photo taken Nov. 1, 2009.

Yes, it is...I love papaya! I had a little papaya forest
at one time in my backyard. This is the last of the
papaya forest...although, I've planted 5 new papaya
plants this year.
There's nothing like a fresh home grown papapya...unfortunately, they have a bad rap for tasting bad...this is because they are picked too green for commercial sale. They never can develop the true
candy-like sweetness if they're picked too green...so commercial-grown papaya is almost always bland or tasteless.
