brugmansia varigated

It was in the garden until late October, now in the conservatory - and in flower. Any one know how to take cuttings from this ? I tried nodal cuttings n water, as I use flor the yellow variety, but no good.

I posted a similar question on here a couple of weeks ago & was advised to just take a cutting & pop it in water. I've done this, I change the water daily & now have what look like noids forming on the submerged section of the stem which I hope will be the start of roots.
Yours looks like a mighty specimen - how tall & old is it?

The plant is about 6 feet tall, and is at least 4 years old.
