These birds fly north each year to spend the Christmas season with us, they eat mangoes and get very drunk on the Queensland Umbrella tree flowers that drip nectar . The birds will hang upside down to let nectar drop into their opened beaks , When they have their fill they fall drunk out of the tree , a lot don't recover and some get set upon by dogs and cats,
.They are addicted to the nectar.

Alcoholic birds ! It's a hard thing to try and imagine them falling out of the trees !! Hope the majority escape the cats and dogs. Well, Christmas is the time for celebrating !! ;-)))
