The first snow of the winter, while there are still green leaves on the shrubs

Yes, we often get a wet fall in November, but it doesn't last long here near the ocean. We don''t get anything like the amounts we used to get in Montreal, so this is relatively balmy for us!!

I hope it stays that way for you Elke! We are having a very mild spell for this time of year and I'm still doing quite a bit of gardening. I'm not looking forward to frosts and snow!

November is usually a miserable month in the northern hemisphere. I look forward to Dec. 21 when the sun starts its return journey!! It's the icy roads that get me here - not fun when you live in a rural area and have to get to town no matter what. Good luck!

Yes, a turning point, 21st Dec. But not such good news for me as the next day I become a year older!!!!

I wish you Happy Birthday well in advance then!! I'll be away at our son's house in Ontario, and won't be able to send you greetings on the day. :) Age is in the mind anyway - you're as young as you want to be!

I don't want to be too young, I think it's a bit tough for youngsters like my two sons(early 20's) these days but I wouldn't mind being a bit younger so I'll think about 1oyears younger and hope it works. Thanks, I can safely say you're the first to wish me happy birthday this year! 6 weeks in advance!!

Is it usual in uor area to have snow this early Elke? We are fortunate to have very little snow and seldom before January.
