Potted Eleagnus
Comments on this photo
now, you see there's a good example of what I mean...I really do not like eleagnus, but this looks lovely!! And I could grow a clematis up it!! You have also made great use of solanum glasnevin. I used to have one, but felt it would be too wild and get too big too quickly. I will think about planting a new one..or two! Love your cotinus as well. I have the pale green one and 'grace' but she is a tiny baby and just a stick. I may get a bigger one....see...you have given me loads of ideas! thanks!

Thank you Karen, I bought this because it was reduced to about £5.99 but have never really found a spot for it. It's also one of my neighbours cats favorite loos :-(( I love my Solanums and the pic you posted of it with a white Clematis, I have Iceberg roses growing through mine :-)))

Yes, I just went out and bought a Hedera Carnariensis - that big ivy that doesn't cling and has variegated leaves....but I'm going to get another solanum for sure! they didn't have any at the GC I went to, but I think I know where I will get one....

btw, the eleagnus looks lovely on that brick wall! Standards are hard to place, I find that too!
