Snow by the River, 2005

We haven't escaped snow in France, and in 2005 a short snap brought some beautiful scenes. This is by the riverside (which we are lucky enough to have on our property). We are now planting up the riverside with cannas, gunnera, arums, and various other plants that can survive in damp, shady ground.
Snow came back with a vengeance in 2008, but we are hopeful that we might not see any this winter.
