Square beds

Sometimes to save time, I use a metre square frame to make a quick square metre bed. It is quick to weed and clear the ground for planting and you aren't overwhelmed by all the rest of the garden awaiting weeding and cultivation.
I'm just off today (November 9th) to plant next year's garlic. To get really good garlic it's imperative to plant it in the autumn, so it can get its roots right down during the winter ready for the short season of growth to June the next year.

Do you get good frosts where you are? I hear garlic likes a dose of frost before the bulb starts to develop.
