I don't have one of these, but hope to someday. I have seen specimens in pictures and in other's gardens...none as robust looking as yours..Very interesting tree. You mentioned that your garden is natural. It's good to hear that on a gardening forum. There are all kinds of gardens and this is a trend that is long overdue... It is the most difficult garden to attempt...the major difficulty lies in knowing what NOT to do and when.lol.
The best way to get a headstart on this type of garden is to find an established garden that has been let go. That way you are already ahead of the game!....lol.

Thanks for your comments.My garden is in the country and I suppose it cried out for that treatment.I like to think that it blends in with the surrounding countryside.I reckon the trick is to give the impression that everything is on the verge of being out of control but not quite.

my friend said that, she doesnt like it when the leaves appear! i love mine its so different in fact this could have been taken in my garden because i also have a flowering currant behind mine!!
