mid april 2008 - settled in nicely to its new location well protected in the corner of the front garden.

thanks Mike, this is just one of many colours it does! this is obviously the new growth, it turns lime green/bright yellow in the summer and then gold and orange in the autumn.

I love Acers. There are so many different ones and the leaf colours are all brilliant.

Did Sango-Kaku used to be called Senkaki (not sure if iv spelt that right)

possibly Torwood, i'm not sure but this was labled up 'Sango-Kaku' so unless the lable is wrong? bit i know there are lots of very simular varieties, i also have an 'Orange Dream' which is practically the same all year round appart form the autumn, the orange dream turns bright orange and this one turns yellow/orange. but at the moment they look the same.
