Too busy looking up to see where it's going?

How tall has it got ?

It's only four feet (in three months) but it's in heavy shade on solid clay so that's pretty good going I reckon

The flowers are a nicer colour in the shade - they're paler. Does it survive the winter in the clay soil or do you take it in. I'm wondering if the clay soil would be too cold and wet, or doesn't it mind.

Hywel i've had my lady boothly for a few years and its in shade, but in big trough, and mine is a good 6ft infact its about 2-3ins above a 6ft fence panel. i leave it out in winter and up to yet its done fine.

Hywel - I only planted it in August so it hasn't had to experience a winter yet. It's in a very sheltered corner but I may mulch the roots just to be on the safe side and keep my fingers crossed
Annella - it got a handful of bonemeal and some garden compost when it was planted and, being summer, grew away strongly. I just hope it does as well next year
