Austracanthra minax..Jewel Spider (Austracanthra minax)

An interesting aside, This spider was the first spider collected by the crew of The Endeavour captained by LT James Cook when he arrived in australia in 1770 , Sir Joseph Banks had everyone out collecting specimens of flora and insects to name a few ,to take back to the motherland for further study
