I like them as well . The birds like the fruits . I have 2 other adult ones.

I know they're native to your area...so they must
grow extremely well there. Here they're pretty
slow growing...and only grow to about 18 feet/ 5.5
meters tall.
Ptychosperma elegans -Solitaire Palm grows
much faster and taller here in San Diego, CA.

Archontophoenix cunninghamiana and alexandre are
very widely grown and very popular trees here. Large
trees are also really inexpensive.
I have posted several pics with Alexander and King Palms.
They're one of my favorite palms trees besides Roystonea
regia - Royal Palm.

My son went to a rainforest stream years ago , he found literally hundreds of tiny palms grownig there under the Alexander palms at the waters edge he scooped uo one handful of the tiny palms , each palm had 2 tiny leaves. He potted up 37 palms in tubes . I have 8 growing from those tiny beginnings and they are now 35 ft high .The rest were given away to anyone who wanted some.

Pitta:
Yes, it's very typical for Archontonphoenix to have
hundreds of seedlings under an adult tree. I see it
here all the time. It's too bad they have to mow down
or pull out all the seedlings under these adult trees. : > (

If they all grew there would not be room for other species

Pitta:
Statistically several would naturally die...however,
you're correct! : > )
