Pregnant Onion

Oh how cute ! I have a Peruvian Daff with some babies like that. Do you just let them fall off on their own?

This is my first baby. I think if they fall off they will root themselves.

I've got one of these. I guess that would explain why the baby that is growing is so far from the mother. I love this upright shape. Mine hangs about five feet, its parent floped over the side as well. Anything special that you do?

Mine is still on the small size greenthumb and it is in a hanging planter. The hanger arms on the pot are supporting it and keeping it upright.

Is pregnant onion the name of this plant or is that just a description? This looks like a plant i used to have. I called it and onion plant, but I don;t think that it was a true onion. It had a wonderful flower spike.
